Same major, GPAs, and situation with my academic history!! @100789
Except, I TAGged UCSB. GOOD LUCK!! & To everyone else <3
@bobaloverr Wow! That’s amazing! I wonder how many other people are in the same situation. I hope that gives us some kind of edge. I really liked UCSC’s campus and vibe. I went there over the summer and fell quickly in love with it. I spoke to some students who said they got accepted to Berkeley, UCSB, and UCLA and choose Santa Cruz over them because everyone is so supportive. I would love to go there! I guess we’ll find out in three days!!! :-SS
Two more days .___.
UCSC is my backup in case I don’t get into Davis, Cal or Irvine. However, I really have no problem with going there so I’m pretty excited to hear from them
Tonight at 3 AM, y’all! (Well, 3 AM for me because of my last name, lol.)
Can’t wait for tonight. Mine should start at 12 sharp. Though I’m hoping to see a decision tonigh, since it’s on a rolling basis I don’t to wait until mid April lol.
@BlackPlasma I’m going to be so sad if it says something like, “A decisions has not yet been made. All decisions will be released by April 30th” or something similar to what UCSD has on their page. :-/
@100789 Yea I know what you mean. Its frustrating and I would honestly prefer a rejection decision than wait until the 30th of april.
Hey everyone. Joining because this is the night! Mine is at 2am
@BlackPlasma I want an acceptance, but waiting until April 30th for them to reject/waitlist me would be awful!
Same @BlackPlasma so I can move on with my life and start on my plan B. :’(
But willing to wait if its an acceptance
Last year UCLA waitlisted me for more than 2 months and rejected me on July 1st.
That’s why I applied all UC but UCLA this year.
@Hiroaki0422 that’s terrible! I’ve heard some similar stories as well. I mean I understand how competitive admission to the university can be, but that sounds so stressful and inconsiderate.
@BlackPlasma D: I wouldn’t go that far…I want an admission lol
@ananguiano hehe just kidding, but yes! we’ll all get accepted ;D Thinking positively
@bobaloverr Thanks for the positivity!
Does Santa Cruz offer regents to transfers? I looked in last years thread and didnt manage to see anyone who had been offered regents. Thanks in advance
@SDSU84 Apparently, yes.
http://financialaid.ucsc.edu/types-of-aid/scholarships/regents.html
“Scholarships are renewable for 4 years for first year students and for 2 years for junior transfers”.
Does anyone know if financial aid information is typically available if/when we receive admission?
@SDSU84 How does someone get Regents anyway?
@100789 I think you have to be in the top 1 or 3% of the incoming transfers. Im really not sure though, thats just my guess. I couldn’t really find anyone who received it as a transfer
