Does anyone know what is math requirement for econ major before transfer? I saw really early on the post there are one people got accepted without cal1/2/3, but my friend got non-selective major offer because missing math1C.

I was honestly already accepting the idea of being denied by UCSC but I got an email at 5:34PM saying “Congratulations on your admission! We hope you have had some time to learn about the many academic, research, and cocurricular opportunites that UC Santa Cruz offers. etc etc etc”.
I had checked yesterday and no update was made on my portal so I’m guessing they updated it today at 5pm?
Anyway, good luck to everyone who’s pending still!

Didn’t get an email. Saw @mamachellexo 's post and decided to just check.
My GPA is 3.03, which is obviously low, but I had medical reasons that I explained in my essays. Additionally, I had an upward trend in my grades as I brought my 2.6X up to the current 3.03.

She had just checked her email and saw an invite to join the Facebook group for Santa Cruz, so she checked the portal and she’s got accepted!
Major: Computer Sci
GPA: not that sure. She attended a CSU freshman year w/4.0; CC mostly A’s, but a C in Physics (she decided not to take the rest of the series, which meant fewer schools she could apply to) and a B in Calc 2, but failed Calc 3 (health problems the last month as well as wildfire craziness the week before finals – campus had to close for a few days due to air quality problems from two fires) so she’s retaking it this semester, but still difficult
She got As in all the computer science classes, including Discrete Math
IGETC: nope as the various UCs say don’t bother with CS and some other physical sci majors, even though her counselor told her to complete this (which goes to show you need to do your own research)
AA degree: nope, not offered at this CC in CS
Accepted: UCI (TAG), UCSC, Arizona State
Rejected: SJ St, UC Davis
Waitlist: Cal Poly Pomona
First choice is UCI (we went to the Celebrate UCI day last weekend). But she won’t finish her current semester until mid-May so hopefully it won’t take forever to get her transcript there and for her to find out her status. If her tag doesn’t work out, then definitely UCSC.
