UCSC Feminist Studies- anyone hear?

<p>I applied as Fem Studies to UCSC on a whim, because at the time I was really set on SDSU's Health Communication program as I'm a Comm major with a lot of science under my belt; however, after looking into UCSC... I'm in love with the Fem Studies courses and I want to go. I haven't seen or heard of anyone else who applied as Fem Studies! It's a little odd because there are literally no major prep courses. Please write back if you or anyone you know of applied as FS and if they've heard a decision/any stats you know of.</p>

<p>Anyway, here are my stats. </p>

<p>Status: PENDING
Major: Feminist Studies
Major pre-reqs: there are none
Major: 3.2
IGETC: Yes
AAs: I have two AAs, one in the sciences and one in comm (it's an AA-T to be specific)
ECs: tons. pertinent to the major would probably be my involvement with the Vagina Monologues at UCSB. I did it for two years and this past year I was one of the co-presidents. I also hope the two certs I have under my belt will help, but who knows. I became a certified yoga teacher at age 20. I also got my EMT certification last year (age 22). I talk about both of these in one of my personal statements.
Other details: I have quite a few Ws on my transcript (4 I believe). Upward grade trend in the past year and a half- made honor roll Fall 2013 semester</p>

<p>@ajmarr no i didn’t tag and i took an introduction to women’s studies class. Although, I don’t think that class was required.</p>

<p>@ajmarr i’m probably going to graduate in two because I am going to take prereqs for dental school. </p>

<p>I still haven’t heard anything! Ah, going crazy. Someone at admissions told me they are hoping to have all decisions out by the end of this coming week. </p>
