UCSC or UCB for UG prospects for Grad School?

Hi kids.

I expect admission into all UC's I applied to for Fall 2008, considering I was admitted last fall into Cal but I didn't attend because of personal financial circumstances. Anyways, at the moment I am weighing both campuses when taking into consideration Grad school - master's in Intl. Relations. (Yale?)

P.S I'm probably going to do Peace Corps after undergrad.

I'd like to hear your thoughts, experiences, and opinions in regards to attending a larger, more prestigious UC or a smaller, more communal UC.

I have very little to contribute, as I am unfamiliar with this subject, but I do know this little fact:

In a survey 60 American universities, UCSC ranked 15th nationally for the percentage of bachelor's degree recipients who went on to earn doctorates. Berkeley was one spot ahead in 14th.

Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable can chime in.
