UCLA, because of location. It may be ~9.1 miles away from my house, but the community college I attend is slightly farther and I don’t mind commuting for an hour to and from there.

Although if I were offered a lot more money or a complete full ride at UC Berkeley, I’d be very tempted to SIR there, but lord knows that probably won’t happen.

Also, although UC Berkeley generally outperforms UCLA to a slight degree in the prestige of most majors, my major is a notable exception; UCLA outranks UC Berkeley for philosophy and specializes in areas of philosophy that I’d love to study there.

lol, my posts in this forum make me look like I’m somewhat fixated with getting into UCLA like those SoCal high school students with the high GPAs and SAT scores who don’t want to go to Berkeley now that I think about it, lol

hard question but in terms of my major and what I want to do as well as programs offered for me and future goal I would say Berkeley, it is my number one choice. If I for some reason don’t get in (even though I’m in the TAP program) I would just go to Davis if I don’t get into UCLA (where I’m TAP certified).
UCB
UCLA
UCD
UCSD

I was admitted to UCB, UCLA, UCSB, and UCSD for fall 2012. Of course my choice was between UCB and UCLA and in the end I decided on UCLA. My major is political science and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I have a friend who went to UCB because of the name, but she is wildly unhappy with the school itself.
