i'm going to be a freshman at ucsc this fall. ucr and ucsc were the only uc's i got accepted to, so i chose ucsc. i really want to go to ucd, uci, or ucsd so i want to transfer in my junior year. i know it's difficult to transfer from uc to uc but i'm going to give it a shot. on the uc website it says "you should plan on completing at least 90 quarter units before you transfer." so do i need 90units before i can apply or 90units after completion of my sophomore year? i'm pretty sure i will only have about 45units after freshman year is over but i plan to take summer course next summer.... also do i have to complete all my GE's at ucsc? because theres like 10different categories of GE's but im not sure if it could all be completed within the 2year period.

UCSC is a great school! Why do you want to transfer? What’s your major?

yeah i now it is but my dream school was always davis. my major is mcd biology and i think ucd, uci, or ucsd has better biology programs.

why dont u just go to a cc instead?

i want a college experience at a uc rather than going to cc. i took a course at cc this summer and it feels like high school. going to class with 30ish people then going home. i want something different and new.
