Hi, I have been accepted to the University of Miami and the University of California, Santa Cruz with merit scholarships such that both of them cost the same and are very affordable for me (am from DC so would have OOS California tuition). They are Presidential and California regents honors program/dean’s award scholarships, respectively, which cut my cost of attendance to each in half. I also got into UCLA and Berkeley without any money but I know both are great schools as well-I get $10,000 off their very expensive out of state costs of attendance with DC Tag, but they are still a financial stretch. I like all of them and am struggling to make up their mind. I am interested in physics, climate science and conservation, and am looking at the California schools as a physics/astro major and UMiami as a physics and marine science double major. Any input about relevant departments and/or research at these schools is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
