I recently submitted an appeal on the basis of personal challenges. However, I noticed that after I submitted the 250 word response. The apostrophes and hyphens in the text are not visible. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anyway to fix it?
I agree with @Gumbymom and @blueskies2day that one course did not cause your waitlist status.
Appealing a “waitlist” will probably annoy them more than anything; they are super swamped right now; fixing glitches. My neighbor works for UCSD admissions. They don’t like extra stuff; it means more work for them. They also mention why appeals don’t work. The only appeals that my “rejected” students survived were those that were errors, on our part, at the school.
A few of our Honors courses were counted for UC credit, but not many.
My advice is not to appeal a Wait List decision. They haven’t rejected you, just said they don’t have an immediate spot. Appealing may simply result in a rejection.
