So I have some questions about UCSD’s colleges.
- I’ve seen that many people say that ERC’s MMW GE is really difficult. Why?
- What are the pros/cons for Sixth?
- How does UCSD give college priority (other than Regent’s Scholar)?
- When do you find out what college you’ve been accepted to? Is it before or after the May 1st deadline?
Thanks!
- Don't know. I know Revelle GE requires more courses and Muir requires less. You need to look at the course requirement for each college on the Web site.
- I doubt that they give priority to a particular college. But it's difficult to apply to capped majors (majors are determined by department, not college).

- They give decision around end of March, way before May 1st deadline.
Application deadline is end of November. You need to hurry.
in 6th you have to take some art classes so if you’re not into that, it might be a drag. (like if you’re an engineering or stem major, it might come off as really unnecessary)
I’ve been hearing a lot of negative things about this ERC, but it’s from science majors who feel like it’s a waste to their major. However , I am passionate about history and I’m majoring in international relations and politics science. How do you think it would be for someone with my interests? Do you think it will be easier or at least less of a burden ?
