Dear Jeffrey,

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the University of California, San Diego, I congratulate you on your admission to Thurgood Marshall College as a major in Visual Arts (Studio)! You'll be able to turn in your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), see your preliminary Financial aid notice, learn more about your undergraduate college, and much more. Please remember the deadline for accepting UCSD's offer of admission is May 1, 2005. And be sure to save the date for Admit Day, Saturday, April 9!

what do you mean?

Ado.
Some person (or persons) hacked the admit website that caters to many ivy league schools and allowed other students to find out early if they have been rejected/accepted. Those who went to the website were then rejected (even if they were initially accepted) by schools such as Harvard because Harvard claimed the act was immoral or something.

^^for sure not entirely accurate retelling of what happened, but something along those lines =P
