UCSD - double major Communications/Political Science

A couple questions I had were:

Is a transfer student allowed to pursue a double major?

Would Communications and Political Science be a good double major to pursue?
(I'm planning on applying to law school, but I believe Poli Sci to be a major that's too limited in options in case I change my mind - however I believe some of the material covered in the major would be very relevant to law thinking.)

Does anyone know how heavy the workload would be for a Communications and Political Science double major at UCSD or other universities and what kind of work it mostly consists of?

I copy pasted this from the "Other Majors" board because I was thinking that maybe there might be some people who had answers to my questions on the Transfers board also. I hope I'm not disregarding any board regulations by reposting.

Thank you!

From what I have seen and heard the work load for Political Science is light and for Communications it is practically non-existent.

Yes, at UCSD transfer students are allowed to pursue double majors. However, you will not be allowed to declare a double major until after your first quarter. I don’t know about the workload.

Major in Comm and minor in Poli Sci or Law & Society…or major in Comm and take random Law related classes on the side. I hear Law Schools don’t care about the major, they’re more concerned with GPA and test scores.
