@IWannaMakeDrugs can i ask where you found that out - the whole 3.44 gpa being the cutoff for admission? ik you went through the application cycle last year, but did ucsd release that info?
i don’t think there is an actual gpa cutoff, if you look online at there transfer statistics there were people that go accepted with less than that
Accepted!
Major: Art History
GPA: 3.9
College: Eleanor Roosevelt
Extracurriculars: Pres. of a CC club for a semester, some other small stuff
@solostish I found out by checking the portal, and I didn’t receive any kind of e-mail notification from UCSD.
Thanks @Polemic !
Congrats to all that got accepted. I got accepted to UCI and UCR today.
No update from UCSD
Psychology B.S. 3.9 GPA and pre reqs done
I applied with a 4.0 for Political Science with all of my IGETC and Pre-Reqs completed; a member of the forensics team; a founder of a large club at school; the creative writing department head at my summer camp and some other things…BUT the catch is that I’m a first year transfer with 30 units worth of AP classes.
I hope they consider me like they would any other transfer with a 4.0…I’m feelings so antsy that I didn’t get in yet. The wait sucks.
@jstang909 did you get regents for UCI?
So no engineering majors were accepted today I assume?
Im econ major still waiting here @sugarbabies3 . I don’t think there are many decision released today for transfers, as previous pages only very few people got their decision…
@resonanx I agree. That’s ok I think ucsd release a much bigger batch during the second round
@IWannaMakeDrugs thanks for the info. Haha I remember you from last years thread, I stalked that thread to have an idea of what I’d be facing this year. It was good to know you got in.
@UCItransfer23
3.3 GPA
Major: Chemistry-Molecular Synthesis
Revelle College
@UCMtoUCSBHopeful our transfer counselor used to work for admissions at UCSD so he would tell us how it worked and what we needed to get to get in.
@MRSMARX some of my friends got in with just over a 3.0 I think one of them that had a 3.2 had to wait until almost June to get off the waitlist. That sucks because it’s after transfer Triton day and your last on the housing waitlist. Make sure if you guys plan to live in La Jolla that you get on the housing application. Remember San Diego is one of the most expensive cities in the US. Apartments in UTC are around $2500/mo for a 2 bedroom.
Pretty late to talk about stats, but I don’t really see any CogSci majors in these transfer threads. So here they are.
Major: Cognitive Science
GPA: 3.52
IGETC: Done this spring
Personal statement: College Advisor liked it/10
ECs: Honors program, did research for the Honors transfer council at UCI. Not all that much, really.
I don’t actually think I’ll get in simply because my GPA seems pretty low. I took a Chem class that I didn’t have to take, just because I like chemistry, but I ended up getting a C in it, which really tanked my GPA. If not for that class, I would have around a 3.8-ish :<
Has anyone seen updates to their application portal since yesterday evening?
Hey everyone! I was accepted yesterday and wanted to let those of you who are still waiting that I got an email today saying my application status is now available (even though the email was a day late it’s good that they notify us)! Good luck to everyone still waiting!!
I also got accepted but I do not see anything about scholarships. Is there anyone who got accepted and was offered a regents scholarship?
Is anyone using the University-Link program? If so, has anyone using this program been accepted yet?
