Interesting. It is still down for me, but not for a few other people who applied as transfers in the same major
To be fair I am a current UCSD student and everything is down right now…
So why did some applicants get decisions early? Were they stronger applicants? Just curious.
@locampo I think the transfers that hear back early are regents… but don’t quote me on that. Or some just get dang lucky to hear early.
Per my financial aid report there is 5k in grants from the institution, however, it does not give any detail.
I have no idea why I was admitted so early. In the interest of full disclosure i did participate in the University Link program as a veteran. Primary stipulation is achieving a 3.5 gpa. I had a 3.73 coming out of MiraCosta this winter.
I can appreciate anyone feeling that this program is preferential in some way, and I dont know if that is the case or if I got in strictly on my academic record. I can understand that it is human nature to seek fairness and be skeptical of others who we feel may have gained an unfair advantage.
I am the father of 2 college graduates so I have comforted a daughter who was denied admission to her dream school (UCB), only to find out a classmate with lower academics was offered admission.
I have no platitudes to offer as this is a pretty cold hearted process. I hope you all are offered admission.

On march 5th, I got an emergency test message from UCSD to test their alert system. At the time I hadn’t been accepted yet so I was confused and I was like I don’t even go there… 6 days later they accepted me. I didn’t make the connection that they probably accepted me but didn’t tell me yet until now… in April LOL. They sent out another one this morning? Good luck to everyone 
@locampo, usually people with regents hear first. Sometimes it’s by major. Also, most non-impacted majors hear before everyone else. I wouldn’t expect anything until April 21st.
What gpa do you guys think is the cutoff, or like some sort of trend?

That is interesting as I was accepted on March 11, and have not received any emergency alerts.
