Curious to know the final numbers on admitted students/admit rate out of the 17,700 transfer apps they said they got
@astrophilia From the gist of what I’ve got, the college you get into only determines which and how many general ed classes you need to complete in order to graduate. For example some require more math than another, which is advantageous for majors that already require math cause you’re already knocking down requirements, etc. Other than that, there’s no other difference because you’ll be taking your classes all over the place if needed for your major.

So I tried looking through last year’s thread but couldn’t find anyone who specifically said they received a response on Saturday
Omg can we try the housing portal trick thing. I just logged on and it has info that I didn’t see when I logged on it a week ago! Idk if that means anything. I did click on the undergraduate housing contract link and it said
“You currently do not have a valid Housing Contract for 2016-2017, and therefore cannot change your Housing Installment Payment Plan. Please contact housinginfo@ucsd.edu with any questions or concerns.” That seems like it connotes to rejection, but I mean not really. Idk.

So I’m still Pending. I’m an aerospace engineering major with a 3.7 gpa.
Today I did the old housing trick, and it does give me an email address with ucsd. So if this trick still works and this means that I’m in, it seems very strange that they would hold off an the decision today. Can anyone confirm if this trick still works this year? You do it by going under housing -> off-campus housing on the application page. And then login in there and if it shows a school email @ ucsd.edu then it used to mean you were in as of last year.

@jailalter Yeah maybe they didn’t make it through aerospace yet I guess. It’s such a small pool of people that I would expect it to not be too difficult to make decisions though. So it’s really nerve-racking. Good to hear there’s others waiting on aerospace too though.
I’m an aerospace major eating for the acceptance too haha I hope they put an end to the wait soon as they can…
