Ucsd financial aid drastic changes?

<p>Hi everyone. I just recieved my ucsd financial aid package and it was a shock. I didn't get the expected gift aid or the expected work study, both key points to why I chose ucsd. Although the gift aid isn't that important, I really want the work study as it's a great way for me to build career opportunities. </p>

<p>Does anyone know if I can contact them and change one of the loans into a work study? Is anyone else in the same situation as I am?</p>

<p>Not necessarily. I’ve had friends find jobs with work studies and jobs without them.</p>
