UCSD - GE Requirements for 6 Colleges ENGINEERING MAJOR

So unlike most of the people here, I will not complete IGETC before transferring. (Since I am an engineering major and it actually isn't recommended to complete IGETC)

However, I was looking at the IGETC requirements, and if I take one more class, I can have Partial IGETC completed (Will have all the required classes except 2 - Critical Thinking (Area 1B) and a Biological Course in Area 5.)

Would it be worth it for me to take that one class and get partial IGETC? Would partial IGETC even matter/help for the six colleges at UCSD?

I was wondering which colleges would be the best to transfer in as an engineering major (I have plenty of math/science classes) so that I would have to take the least amount of GEs.

I've done plenty of research and I know everyone says Warren or Muir is the best, however I'm assuming its for those that have completed IGETC.

From my research, I'm guessing Revelle would be the best? Could someone clarify/expand?

Thanks

You are right about the fact that as an engineering major you don’t need to finish igetc, but the critical thinking requirement is a requirement for admission to any uc or csu school so you’ll definitely want to complete that

[UC San Diego Six College System](http://admissions.ucsd.edu/colleges/) has links to the six colleges and descriptions of their breadth requirements.

[Transfer Preparation](http://admissions.ucsd.edu/transfers/prep-programs/) includes some description of IGETC use on breadth requirements (but you probably need to check each of the colleges for full details).

Hooray for EVC.
