<p>Yes, I’m sure. They told us the 1100 seats at the Tritons day. Not sure what is the yield rate for COE, so it has to be adjusted for the yield rate to come up with the correct admit rate. I’m sure it’s not 7.7% because that is lower than MIT.</p>

Thus, anonman’s statistic that only 47/14400 (0.326%) of UCSD COE applicants are chosen for the Jacobs School Scholarship is accurate.</p>
<p>During our welcome reception, I recall that the average SAT score is roughly 2330 - 2350, with close to 4.0 UW/4.6-7W average GPA. For reference, most Jacobs Scholars have received offers of admissions from Ivy League schools and merit scholarships from UC Berkeley and LA, hope this helps!</p>
