UCSD or SDSU

I am so thankful to receive admission to these two universities and am having such a difficult time making a decision! I would like to head various viewpoints that might alter my decision. I am majoring in Speech, Hearing, Language Sciences/Linguistics-Speech Language Sciences for each school. I plan on get a masters as well. I’m considering that as well since having a higher GPA is required to apply for a master’s program. I’m not sure which school has a better speech pathology program (undergraduate).
I am a Southern California resident and will be receiving in-state tuition, but sadly no financial aid. UCSD is approximately 32k and SDSU is 29k. I will be living on campus and I’m assigned to Marshall for UCSD. I am not interested in Greek life. I have visited both schools. I toured UCSD and fell in love with the school and I visited SDSU during winter break (no students there/tours) and the school is beautiful as well. Thank you for your input!

I also got into the Weber’s Honors College at SDSU

As long as I can remember, UCSD didn’t have an undergraduate program (Communicative Disorders, Speech/language/hearing pathology).

SDSU has the undergrad, grad school and clinic.

Did you visit the clinic at SDSU?

@apfailsstudent: So were you accepted to the Linguistics- Speech and Language Sciences major at UCSD?

Have you compared the 2 program curriculum’s?
Are there any major costs differences?

Also noticed on another thread that you were accepted to SDSU’s Webers honor college so that is a great perk.

I would compare the academics (programs), costs and finally the social scene and figure out which school would best fit all this criteria.

No bad option here.
