UCSD or UCD to Law school

I recently got accepted as a transfer to UC Davis and UC San Diego and having a tough time choosing which one would be better for me if I want to go to one of the top law schools.

Both UCD and UCSD are ranked similarly at around 38 in the nation but UCSD is ranked 8th for poli sci, my major, and UCD is ~23. How important is rank?

I figure I'd have better internship opportunities in Sacramento at UCD than down in SD. How much impact will a few summer internships have on my application?

UCD sounds like it'd be a little easier academically and raising my GPA sounds important as I have a bout a 3.3 and hopefully can get into the 3.5 range. With a 3.5-3.6, a 170+ LSAT, and what i'd think to be an URM (Afghan) how would my chances be at at the top 10 schools.

Do Law schools look at CC GPA/coursework and is it weighted or looked at differently?

If anyone could comment or validate these it'd help me make my decision.

Rank is totally unimportant for admission to law school.

Internships will have no impact on your admission to law school. They may help in getting some jobs though.

You can plug your numbers in here[/url”>http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com/wp-content/uploads/Law-School-Predictor-Full-Time-Programs.htm]here to see how you’ll do. I don’t know if Afghani counts as URM for the purposes of law school admissions.

You have “3” twice. They look at all your classes insofar as they look at your total GPA. They don’t care about your coursework.

That was a pretty helpful link, seems like it’s all about the LSAT and GPA is secondary
