UCSD or UCD for Law school

I recently got accepted as a transfer to UC Davis and UC San Diego and having a tough time choosing which one would be better for me if I want to go to one of the top law schools.

Both UCD and UCSD are ranked similarly at around 38 in the nation but UCSD is ranked 8th for poli sci, my major, and UCD is ~23. How important is rank?

I figure I'd have better internship opportunities in Sacramento at UCD than down in SD. How much impact will a few summer internships have on my application?

UCD sounds like it'd be a little easier academically and raising my GPA sounds important as I have a bout a 3.3 and hopefully can get into the 3.5 range. With a 3.5-3.6, a 170+ LSAT, and what i'd think to be an URM (Afghan) how would my chances be at at the top 10 schools.

Do Law schools look at CC GPA/coursework and is it weighted or looked at differently?

If anyone could comment or validate these it'd help me make my decision.

I don’t think you are considered an URM as an Afghan student. The URM definition applies to the American government’s definition of American students from Latino, American Indian and African American backgrounds; you can ask your university.

Law schools only really care about your LSAT and you GPA. That’s what it comes down to. A 3.65 from CSU East Bay vs. a 3.5 from Harvard coupled with the same LSAT score, the CSU applicant will have more acceptances. Go to where you will do best academically. And don’t forget that the LSAC takes every class you’ve ever taken at a college into account when doing your GPA.
