UCSD revoked?

Hi, ok so I recently committed to UCÍÎ but I am afraid that I can possibly get revoked because of my D last semester in AP Calc. There was no possible way that I would have been able to drop the class because our school does not allow that. I also have completed 10 semesters of math, including this one, so I have exceeded the number of a-g requirements. Do you think I will still get the opportunity of attending if I inform them about the situation? :’(

*UCSD

  1. Regardless if you have exceed the # of semester of Math, you are still required to pass all a-g courses with a C or higher.

  2. If you received a D last semester you were also required to notify all UC’s of the deficient grade.

  3. What you need to do now is contact UCSD admissions and let them know of the D since you do not want them finding out about it when your final transcripts are due in July. You would then mostly likely be rescinded.

  4. Each school will evaluate each student’s situation on a case by case basis, so if you receive a C or higher 2nd semester, they will probably let it slide but you need to find out for sure.

There is another poster in the UCD forum that is currently getting a D- in a course and they contacted UCD and admissons stated mostly likely this will not affect this students admission but they may have to retake the class in CC during the summer.

Better to find out now what kind of options you have before you end up with no options.

Thank you so much !
