Hello all. This is my first year at UCSD and first time taking Summer Session II classes. According to these websites, the summer session 2 deadline for paying fee is July 15. Financial Aid will be credited to my account starting July 22, however. Wouldn't this be after the deadline already? How would I pay them then? Does anyone know how this works?

You need to ask the school as this will be specific to them.

At my daughter’s school they handle it weirdly (in my opinion). Everything is billed to the student at the beginning of the summer - even if it is for later sessions. But the aid can not be disbursed until the student has started all the classes (to make sure they do actually do all the classes). If the student is in the 1st and 3rd summer session payment ends up being due for everything early in the 1st session. If you don’t pay it then they go through the whole process of automatically saying you are late and charging you interest. Then when the FA is released it pays everything and they back out the interest charge. All works out in the end, but very convoluted and stressed us out no end.

Hopefully your school has a simpler system. But ask them.

Hi there. I go to UCSD and this is usually how they work. They bill you the amount for session two and then credit your account with your financial aid money (grants + loans + etc.). Afterwards, the difference gets credited (or billed) to you. You have until July 15 to pay if anything is left over. But if you have more financial aid money than it cost for tuition, then you will get the money disbursed on July 22. Double check with the financial aid office, but I am pretty sure this is how it works.
