<p>Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to get from UCSD to UCLA, or vice-versa, without a car.</p>
<p>Amtrak to LA and then a cab</p>
<p>101 to Oceanside. Metrolink trains to LA Union. Bus/Taxi/Friend to UCLA.</p>
<p>Approximately how long does it take?</p>
<p>With a car it takes around 2.5 hours to get to LA if there is NO traffic - on a train I’d imagine it would be a good 3-4 hours.</p>

<p>It takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hours with no traffic. But then again, I drive faster than the normal person</p>

<p>yes the traffic is crazy…I recommend finding people that are already driving around there (I live about 20 min from UCLA and go home every so often…) since you can take the train to Union Station, but its kinda far from Westwood.</p>
