Hi everyone,
Are you all bringing your families with you to transfer admit day or are you coming solo?

probly gonna go with a friend, if not ill just go solo

parents too busy l0l

My estimate is that the representation will be 50% students solo and 50% students with their families. It’s not a big deal if you go solo if that’s what you’re asking…plenty of people will be coming alone.

If I get in…yeah probably with the rents.

when is transfer admit day?

may 7th i believe and i’ll be going with my dad ^.^

parents are taggin along

Whats the difference between transfer admit day and orientation?

^^
I’m guessing one’s for those that have been admitted and the other is for those that intend to enroll. As far as what’s actually done differently, not sure.

I will be going with another friend who got admitted as well. If your parents haven’t seen the school, you should really take them! It’s just my parents already went through this whole process when my brother got into UCSD so it’s like bleh for them. Haha.

Not sure if I’m able to go but if I do, my family would prob go too

I would have no problem going solo I’m not a shy person. I was just wondering what other CC members were going to do come Admit Day.

What happens on transfer admit day? I live near sacramento so its a little difficult to go all the way over there and usually my work schedule doesnt work well with these things. Im just wondering what I would be missing by not going

Just me, if I go. Mom isn’t really around.

Admit Day is UCSD’s attempt to get you to pick them. It’s advertising. Orientation is about getting you ready to start after you’ve chosen UCSD.

does anyone know when orientations generally are for ucsd? i’m in warren college if that matters. sorry if i’m getting ahead of myself but i might be going to europe this summer…a clash in dates could be potentially catastrophic

mlindo! you are amazing, and that’s awesome that they dont have orientations smack dab in the middle of summer.
do you by any chance live in the village? if so, would you be willing to share your experiences? ucsd is a veryy close second to berkeley haha :D

All we know is that Transfer Admit Day is in May. If there is an “orientation” I’m sure UCSD will notify us in a timely manner.
