@trnsfrstdnt3 wow congrats on getting accepted into Berkeley!! you can definitely do what Suzeee said, and you could even call them to get removed from the waitlist. I havent had much luck at all with their email tbh
Same here man! Iām an international student with 3.89 GPA for Econs. Hopefully we get off the waitlist!
Iāve heard that the UCs are waiting on state funding and that might delay transfer student decisions coming out, Iām really hoping not, because otherwise housing is going to be a nightmare.
My friend was on the waitlist last year and they announced the result on 25 th of May. Hopefully we wont need to wait until July
Well, Irvine rejected me today, that leaves me with only this waitlist as my remaining decision. Almost totally struck out at all the schools I applied to, thankfully Riverside has given me admission, just sucks to see the same message over and over again. Oh well, nothing else to be said or done, all I can do is move forward.
Was anyone required to write an essay? Davis waitlisted me and I had to write a 200 word essay but there was no essay for UCSD
They honestly need to start accepting less freshmen. More students are deciding to go to CC first because of financial or educational reasons and they are not accounting for that. By the time the Freshmen become Juniors all the spots in their major are still filled. Only allowing for a couple thousand CC transfers in many of the UCs. I worked 30-40 hours all three years of CC. Took 108 units total, finished IGETC and prereqs. Currently have a 3.78 GPA and honors (4.0 Major GPA). And yet I still was not considered good enough to get accepted to here or UCLA. I got accepted to UCI honors and UCSB so at least I have something. But it would have been better if these top schools would be able to accommodate more transfers that dont get the same opportunities as the high schoolers. Sorry for the rant, just kind of discouraged feeling like I did everything I could and it was not good enough.
@compsci20 Itās alright, its completely understandable to be frustrated with the process. From what youāve explained about your experience and hard work you put in at the CC, Iām hoping you get a spot, you are definitely good enough and deserving of a spot in my eyes. I myself have no reason to complain about my situation, I worked some what but certainly not on that scale for that long, just for my first semester was that the case. And also my gpa isnāt nearly as high as yours. Iām rooting for you.
UC DAVIS and UCSD also put me on waitlist lmao
Thats funny that we both are waitlisted
Whats your major?
Late post but I was waitlisted for Mechanical Engineering with Earl Warren being my first choice
GPA: 3.73

Just made an account in order to post hereā¦ Major: General Biology; Alternate Major: Cell & Molecular Biology

Waitlisted: UCSD

Iāve been attending a CC for 6 years now, since Fall 2012 (102 units total) and in the meantime was working full-time. I quit my job and was able to do the STARS internship at UCSD and fell in love with the school. Applied to only UCI and UCSD this semester because I heard from someone at some point that cal states donāt do researchā¦ wishing I had applied as a backup after finding out they very assuredly do. But still very hopeful!
Keep your chins, up guys. We all have a great chance of getting in.
hey guys. waitlist here; neuroscience.
wondering if anyone was going to triton day?
also, i wasnt able to know which college i got into; does anyone know how to find out? it would be really awesome to know because there will be college presentations
i am planning to go to triton day, hoping they wont dismiss me because i am a waitlist. is waitlist allowed?
@ilovepie12 waitlists are not allowed to register for trition day. And you wonāt be assigned any colleges until youāre admitted into ucsd
Hey guys, do they consider the CC that you transfer from when making a decision. For example I am waitlisted w,th 3.48 GPA at econ but the CC that I am studying right now is one of the hardest one ? I know many community colleges that you can make 3.8 easily
@G2Bro0768 but i attend triton day right?
International studies- International Business
CCC transfer
GPA: 3.63
Pre-reqs: done
IGETC: not done
so many ECās ā¦
How does the waitlist process work? Do our spring grades have anything to do with us being admitted off the waitlist? ā¦ In other words, are they going to review our spring grades and then decide to admit us off the waitlist or not, if space becomes available?
Waitlisted as well.
CCC transfer
Computer Science
GPA: 3.82
IGETC and all transferable courses completed
Not many ECS
I committed to SDSU and hoping for the best from UCSD.
Good luck comrades!
@haasisgoals Spring grades donāt factor into the waitlist, from what I understand, I could be wrong, they accept you off the waitlist based on GPA, but there has been some debate on here about that.
@hailey5799 I also thought it was based off of GPA, but I talked to a UCSD rep yesterday and he said itās based off of the availability of the space in the major and colleges.
