I’m ERC poli sci here.

oh a fellow erc’er know which mmw classes you want to take?

madamewoolf: I’m a cs major also I believe Striff is too

I am majoring in Computer Science too.

cool question: how much math and physics will you guys have done when you transfer? i was admitted with no physics and calc up to 3b. im a little worried about how long its gonna take me to graduate :[

Take some over the summer at your local CCC. I’ll be done with all math/science after this summer, and all that only took a year. (Bio major) That’s BILD 1,2,3, Math 20A,B,C, Chem 6A,B,C,BL, PHYS 2A,B,C,and labs.

It wasn’t too hard, IF taken at a community college. If you try to cram it at UCSD you will probably fail from what I heard.

sixth college psychology major!

Anyone wanna go out to a bar or something Friday night?

kkiiji: are you a one-year transfer and did your science classes come with labs? i took chem 6abc, bild 123, math 20ab, and phys1a in 3 quarters and it was pretty time consuming cuz i had 6 labs each week.

Funny thing is, I’m actually a three year transfer. Only this year did I decide to step it up, the previous two years I was just dicking around taking random GEs. I’m going to end up with like 110 semester units, which is like 146 quarter units or something, sadly only 70 semester units will transfer over.

It’s not as bad if you do it all in a year at your CCC, I’m guessing it’s way easier, but since you did it at UCSD it probably sucked a lot more.

ohhhh i see. haha i actually took those classes at CC this year. it still sucked though :P

Your CCC has a quarter system?? Yeah it’s no walk in the park, you have to be on the top of your game, I know how you feel.

I am done with all the Physics and Math requirements except for Differential Equations which I am going to take in the Fall. I am really not that good at math. Physics is not that bad, but I really struggled with Calc 3.

I’m surprised they let you in without any of the Physics complete. Lucky!

haha yeah, i go to 2 of the 3 CCs on quarter system i love it!

I would kill to be on the quarter system. Semester suck!

semester hella sux!!

so i got into revelle for cogsci…who else?? i see nobody going to revelle here…lame

warren for computer science.

I know they say that you can’t transfer into an engineering class once you get in to ucsd…but does anyone know if you can transfer from one engineering major to another, like say switching from computer science to computer engineering?

iamlegendary — I hear ya practically no one is in roosevelt with me :(

kayla that sux, was roosevelt your first choice?? i randomly put revelle as first but at least its closer to the beach…right??(is it?) lol

I spoke with Revelle advising on the phone today. They said that if IGETC is complete, we don’t need to do the humanities requirements and some other g.e. requirements. I don’t see why everyone complains that it is rigorous and sucks as a transfer student. Doesn’t seem too unreasonable.
