Is it true that i do bad job for my personal statement, i can still get in with good grades and gpa?

ucsd and ucsb both state on their websites that they dont consider personal statements for transfers AT ALL.

also where does it say it on their website?

It helps to have PS but it really doesn’t matter.

but u do need to have one! no matter how crappy or whatever it is dont get confused and think “oh i can leave this blank, cuz i have TAG”

Wait, for everyone saying that they don’t consider personal statements is that with or without the TAG agreement? If you don’t have a TAG wouldn’t they read your personal statement to use as a determining factor if you’re borderline or to separate you from another applicant?

idk i was mainly talking about TAG students who think that…

Even without TAG, it still applies. Same for a couple of other UCs.

UCD, UCR, UCSD, UCSB & UCSC is the complete list of UCs that don’t look at PS.
