UCSD v. UCI v. UCSB for Bio Major

Hey guys! So I will be majoring in Bio and plan to move on to medical school after college (pre-med student) Soooo, which school would be my better option? What are the pros/cons of each school? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Also, if it helps..I was admitted to the John Muir College, which apparently has the least GE's..
Once again, thanks a lot!!

I know SD definitely has a better bio program. I would say go here. I’m a bio major too! Also, it’s good you got into Muir, you can focus on maintaining a higher GPA.

Ok thanks a lot! Would you say there are a lot of research/internship opportunities? And how are the science classes and professors? How hard is to do well while maintaining a social life? Is there a lot of access to tutoring or other similar services if needed? Thanks so much!!

I suppose I was a bit ambiguous when I said I’m a bio major too–I’ve only just been accepted for bio, still in high school here! I do have a friend who majored in bio at UCSD (and is now at Stanford) and she says that the program was amazing and well worth it. She turned away more “prestigious” schools to go to SD, and was very satisfied with all of the opportunities she had.

Oh lol. Okay, well thank you anyways!!

UCSD is ranked one of the best schools in the world for bio. I would definitely choose UCSD! :)

Ok thanks! Right now, I’m leaning towards SD
