Hey Everyone
I'm creating this thread for everyone who applied and wants to live on campus in the Village. It's now June-15 which means it's mid-june so we should be hearing soon huh? Any information you all have post it here. Maybe get to know our hopefully housemates/building mates haha

I havent heard from them yet, but im anxious! Any preferences?

well first I just want to be chosen! haha I’m not sure yet though. I would rather not have 7 other people to live with so I’d chose a 4 person if I have that option. Not sure which building yet though. What about you?

We should be finding out this week though I emailed them and they said they expect to release the decisions this week :)

I definitely love you now haha… i hope they do mean they think they can give everyone housing :)

ahh yeah having 7 or even 9 roommates would suckk =/. If I get on campus housing I want to stay at either Building 1 with 3 other people or some other building with 4 roommates and I guess I’ll get a single.

I sent them an email as to how theyre assigning us roommates they said they will assign us by gender and by college, and you can only request roomates if they’re the same gender and college as you

Seems like 7 or 9 other people might be kinda cool. It would be like having your own mini-frat house or something.

I dont know 10 girls living in one small place? too much lol

Lottery numbers are out…
fmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfml

I got the email from them and I am lottery number 44. Is that good? I still don’t really understand how this works and I hope to get a single room.

I haven’t gotten an email guess I didn’t get chosen

I guess 68 of you guys are going to be single

kutikayla, everyone gets a lotto number, even if you don’t get a spot in The Village. I am sure you will get an email with your number soon.

Ugh well what colleges you guys in? What do your last names start with?

Last name starts with M…I am in Sixth.

You did the housing application page on UCSD’s website last month correct?

You can always email them…their email is :

thevillage@ucsd.edu

I dont know. I called them she said they gave out 1111 lotto numbers and there are 1018 beds. feihtkrad’s is 1083 and still got an email. So I’m assuming I didn’t even get a lotto number?

ok so the lady said my lottery number was 544? but yet i didn’t get an email. so now she’s trying to figure that out

Ok I copied and pasted this from our Facebook group wich you can join here…

Redirecting...;

"If you didn’t get an email then they messed up and you should contact them because they said everyone was going to get a lotto number.

kutikayla said that they gave out 1,111 numbers. Which means that many people applied. There are room for 68 people in singles and 950 in doubles…which adds up to 1018 people. So anyone with a lotto number > 1018 did not get in and would be on the waiting list now.

So if you take 1,111 - 1018 you get 93 people that did not get in.

Obviously not all 1018 people that got in are going to stay there. I personally know 2 people that applied just to apply and have no intention of staying there.

My gut feeling is that all of you who are on the wait list now will get in. If 1 out of every 10 people decides to not live there you will all get in. It seems to be the numbers are in your guys favor."

so get this haha i chose to have my ucsd email forward to my gmail account but me being so smart put the wrong email in so my ucsd emails have being going no where which is why i didn’t get the email but i resolved it and had them resend my email about my lottery number so i’m happy #544 which isn’t too bad of a number we get an email next week correct?

See…I told you it would be ok! :)
