<p>So I got into both schools I applied to and got into the major I wanted to. I got into Muir for SD which was also my first pick school. I've visited Davis a couple times and wasn't really impressed with their campus aesthetically, but I loved how flat the campus was, perfect for biking/long boarding! I haven't been to the SD campus yet, but I will be visiting SD on the 22nd. I was initially thinking of going to Davis but now I'm leaning towards SD. My main reason for wanting to go to Davis is that I could still go to my church every weekend (in Rocklin). Yes, I really really love my church :). Plus, I would be pretty close to home, I've heard that Davis students are generally happier, and the ARC is amazing!!! I also work in Sac for a doc's office, so if I went to Davis I could possibly keep working there (if time/school sched permits). The downside to going to Davis is that rent would probably suck ~10k/year from my account. I could care less that it's known as a "cow town." Now I'm leaning towards SD because I've heard their neuro program is really good. I would save money because my aunt lives 10 min away from the campus. Weather is awesome at SD (I have a very low tolerance for cold weather). I have friends at both schools. I can make new friends at both schools. I also got invited to the MARC program (had no idea Filipinos were considered a minority). Can anyone elaborate on that program? How competitive are the students at both schools? How happy (generally speaking) are the students at both schools? I'm pre-med by the way, if that makes a difference. Can anyone talk about their own experiences at either school?</p>
