Yeah, I’m still waiting. Comp sci was my first choice, ECE was my second. tbh, I’m expecting to get rejected soon. Does anyone know if any engineering majors got in? Both my choices are engineering so as of now it seems my chances of getting in are pretty slim.
I’m also engineering and haven’t heard. at this point they should just tell us if it’s a no. they’re leaving me hanging
Waiting for comp sci as well, although it seems to no avail. Guess I’ll be sticking with UCI!
Engineering majors don’t seem to be getting off of the waiting list. Probably filled.
One of my friends who is ranked top 3% of our small class 4.3 GPA 34 ACT applied for CS and got admitted as undeclared. Just puts it into perspective who they actually accept into the program directly.
CS/Eng won’t get off WL into major directly. It’d be to undeclared at best. How many of you would forego CS/Eng direct from UCI/SB and the likes for UCSD UD?
I know some people who got into CS off the waitlist last year, but I guess it’s just too full this year ):. Considering the cutoff to transfer into CS was a 4.0 this year at SD, UCI/UCSB would most definitely be an easier and safer route.
There’re already plenty who had CS as 1st choice admitted only to UD. So if there’s really space open they should be the ones moved first. SD likes to use UD for buffer. I am guessing even if they have space on CS, they would use UD to fill those spots based on grades. They know many UD kids had CS/Eng chosen as 1st to begin with.
Well, today should have been the batch day, so maybe they are done now?

Same. If the first round of admissions told me anything, it’s that by now I should probably expect a rejection.
Judging by this thread, it seems like the last wave of acceptances was on 5/11. If that was really the last wave, then I don’t understand why they would wait so long to send rejection letters. This makes me think that there might be one more wave, but honestly, it seems pretty bleak right now.
If you were admitted from the waitlist would you also receive an admit packet in the mail? I was admitted over a week ago and I haven’t gotten anything.
@jakapoe I was wondering the same thing. I asked admissions and they said no, but I’m still not sure.
Any other waitlist admits get admit packets?
