UCSD?

UCSD is my dream school. I want to be a chemistry major, and I love what this school has to offer. However, I would like to gauge my chances of getting accepted there. My 9-12 gpa is 3.97 weighted. My 10-12 weighted gpa is 4.09 weighted. I have taken four ap classes so far and am enrolled in four more this year. My scores are: AP European History: 3 AP Chemistry: 3 AP Language and Composition: 4 and AP US History: 4. My ACT Composite is 28, but I have retaken it since. I have gotten one C, but got an A+ the next semester sophomore year. I have gotten the AP Scholar with Honor Award and an achievement award for Algebra 2. I am Vice President of CSF and applied to NHS this year. Since last year, I have tutored elementary students in math once a week. My UC calculated GPA is 4.1. Do I have a shot? This whole process is making me incredibly uneasy because I know UCSD is pretty hard to get into with a 31 percent or so acceptance rate. Any insight would be helpful.

If you can get your ACT into the 30+ range, you have a shot at UCSD. Make sure you have several solid Match and safety schools on your list to give you some options in the Spring. Good Luck.
