I recently found the following quote on a UD admission questionnaire website. Being as hardworking student whose SAT's didn't project exceptionally high numbers, this helped to ease my worries:

According to Louis Hirsh, senior associate director in the UD admissions office, "Most students overestimate the importance of the SAT. The SAT is only one factor among many. We look first...at the rigor of a student's high school and course selection. Then we look at the grades, including the overall trend in grade. SATs are really third on the list of priorities. Then we look at what we can learn about a student's intellectual curiosity and personal characteristics from reading his or her admissions essay and letters of recommendation and reviewing his or her awards, honors and leadership positions."

This is one of the things I admire most about UD; the fact that they strive to learn about a person's character and depth before assessing him/her as an applicant.

That being said, how do you think I stack up:

Good essay - apparently one of the best college essays my AP English teacher has read this year
