<p>Sooo I was wait-listed at Udel and forced to put a deposit down at JMU. But after looking into JMU I came to really like it. It has a solid academic record and its SOOO pretty down there. Until Friday I was 100% positive that I was going to JMU figuring that I just wouldn't get into UDel. But of course I got in and I have 3 weeks to figure out what I want to do! Academically, they are pretty much the same school. I want to work in a hospital, maybe go to PA school or something so I was going to major in health sciences but UDel doesn't offer that, only med diagnosis, OT, and nursing. Personally I think I would fit in better at Udel because at JMU everyone was very peppy and go lucky, which is good but I have my bad days. Plus JMU was kind of in the middle of nowhere whereas UDel had a physical town. Any opinions are GREATLY appreciated.</p>
<p>My D is a frosh at Udel. We also visited JMU when she was looking at schools. My D ruled out JMU, and never applied. I liked it a lot. The original old campus is very nice. The part across the highway didn’t quite fit in. In the end, location was problematic. Udel is easier to get to from Ca. JMU was too far from airport. Also, it is much easier to get to NYC, Phil., Balt, And DC from Udel. That was attractive. Main street offers more of a college town atmosphere than JMU area. Udel has more OOS kids than JMU. Daughter liked that as well. She liked the higher concentration of NOrtheast kids at Udel.<br>
Can’t go wrong with either choice. Lastly, D loves Delaware…</p>
