Coming from UNC Chapel Hill
3.59 GPA
Theatre BA

I’m hoping to somehow declare a second major in English, specifically the Film studies track. I’ve got all the pre-reqs done, and I’m a theatre/comm. studies–media production double major currently at UNC. The film studies track sounds a lot like what I’m already doing here.

Does anyone know if you can declare a second major as a transfer, as long as you stick with the one you applied to?

you’d have to check with both advisors, obviously, but i dont think that theatre is a popular major, overall, so you might be able to. there are a couple of double majors you have to get a certain gpa to apply for because they are so popular. you have to still graduate within 4 semesters, though, unless you can get lucky or something, but im pretty sure its a rule. i’ll be the guy throwing soda bottles at you during the king and i. looking forward to it!

I feel like I am the only one who hasn’t heard! Should that make me worried? I am waiting to hear back from CALS, I know I have a good chance since I have a higher GPA than someone who got into my major already, and I am pulling straight As this semester. Getting so close to the deadline (every time I called they told me I would know by May 1st) with out an answer is making me so stressed though!

No nautilus you aren’t the only one! I am waiting to hear from CALS as well Seems like they take the longest to get decisions out… did they say they’re trying to get all decisions out by May 1st or just for you in particular?

Well it’s comforting to know I am not alone on being in the dark. They had told me that decisions would be out May 1st, however I called today to see if they would be making their deadline because I didn’t think they would, and the person I spoke to said that they were still working on them and that if I still haven’t heard by this coming Wednesday to give them a call, not just me, but anybody who still hasnt heard. Hope that settles you a little as it did me!

ACCEPTED!
CALS Microbiology Biology and Cell Science

It says once I get B in Calculus prior to admission, but I don’t think I got a B for that class…if I don’t should I take it over in the summer? will they accept that?

you should try for that B, obviously, but you have all summer to do another class if necessary, and i dont think theyd not admit you. definitely talk to an advisor or someone in admissions if you dont get a B tho…

Accepted!
CALS Animal Science.
Coming from PBCC with a 3.68 GPA and 76 credits.
Does this make me a junior or senior? I am VERY nervous about moving so I still have not decided if I am going to go. I am going on a tour May 22nd to see if I really want to go… I need some convincing!!

I’m still waiting too. Liberal Arts and Sciences - History. Anyone else still waiting? I’ve called, left messages, but the admissions secretary at CLAS never returns or seems to be at his/her desk…

Nevermind, just got admitted conditionally on finishing major prerequisites which are in progress since January. If anyone else is waiting it seems like they are still admitting…

Currently waiting on a decision
I think I may be the last one lol.
