pixiestixs,

you like the pixies? haha

@ eddy
lol if you’re talking about the band no, the candy yes :P

Anyways good luck to everyone who applied hope we all get in and that the waiting is not too much longer!

for a second i thought somebody in CC liked good music…

When a decision is posted it will be under “status check” right?

yup, although some people have gotten letters in the mail first.

STATS
CC Transfer
GPA: 3.57
Pre-Prof: 4.0

I applied as an English major, but if I get in I’m going to try to dual major in English and Linguistics. I have already been accepted at 3 other schools, but I don’t want to attend any of them… Hopefully decisions will be made soon.

Good luck everyone.

I hope so too. In case you hadn’t read the entire thread, I’ve heard that CLAS has really begun evaluating Fall transfers this week. Decisions are coming out already for some, and the advisors say they should be done by mid-late April at the latest.

Last year, of course, people were still waiting to recieve decisions through late May.

Finally all my paperwork is ironed out, and there’s no longer a freeze on my application. Just waiting on a decision now. I’m pumped. =p

Rejected…

Accounting
3.64 GPA

What do I do now? Feels horrrrrrible :/

CLAS, Political Science Major
GPA: 4.0
From a FL CC
SGA, PTK
Intern with a State Senator/UF Professor

I got a decision within 12 hours of having the requisite paperwork. UF is on the ball this semester.

@ tbaccari, I’m so sorry to hear that. There is an appeals process if UF is where you really want to go, but accounting is a rough major to get into at UF. I heard there were only 15 total spots open this semester.

You could try the appeals process, but I would also suggest applying to USF. USF has one of the best accounting programs in the country, with the 2nd highest CPA passage rate in the nation. In the long run, this could be a blessing in disguise considering how strong USF is for your major and what you could accomplish there. There is always a bright side.

Sean,

Thanks for the words. I hear the appeal process has about a 3% chance of succeeding, which isn’t a reason for me not to try, just another upsetting number. I’ve read that if a prospective student were to appeal they would have to give some kind of information that would change the minds of the committee and allow me in.

I am thinking about reapplying for econ with a minor in acct, which will still allow me to get into the masters of accounting program. Its just that the deadline was march 1st for Fall. I’m going to call around and get as much information as I can and see if they possibly overlooked something on my transcript. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Tyler

Oops, also meant to say that UF is the dream school cause of its location to my home and its where all my friends attend as well. USF just wouldn’t suffice.

Thanks!

tbaccari,

I applied for accounting as well… did you get your decision online? If so, what day? I’m still waiting on mine and it states that the status is unavailable. I’m sorry about the bad news. I hope the best for you and the appeal process.

@seancris congrats!!!

I saw the status check is down again…is accounting in CLAS, im still praying I get in but I know being out of state, I probably have a 5% chance of getting accepted…im an economics major, been praying everyday

Thanks pixie! Good luck to everyone. I will still be on CC and post information as I recieve it for all of you.

If you are in CLAS, I suggest calling the secretary and making sure that you have all the paperwork that they need. One of my papers was lost in the mail at UF last month, and if I had not called to double check I would’ve gotten a rejection notice instead of an acceptance tonight. Make extra sure that you’ve got all of your stuff in, especially if you had to get a pre-req letter because apparently admissions does not know to forward those letter to CLAS like they need to.

The secretary told me that CLAS would be issuing decisions on transfers starting this week, and apparently she meant it. We’ve had a lot here on CC I think, so CLAS people be ready! =)

Michael I found out last night at like 8 30… Happy St. Pattys day! ahhhh, hopefully everyone should be finding out soon.

Good luck!

I just got in! Thanks for all the support!

My Stats(if you’re wondering)

University of Central Florida
Accounting
GPA: 3.96
Pre-prof GPA: 4.0

I hope the best for everyone else!

Well CALS hasn’t released any decisions as of yet. My status screen still shows that my application has been referred to my college for a final decision. So eh.

Hopefully they release some decisions soon, UF is apparently getting the decisions out early this year around. Last year decisions came out much later…
