I noticed UF started to use the ACT Superscore for admissions last year. Just wondering how this has affected the overall admissions. Say for example you had a kid on the “bubble” with a 28/29 ACT, but the Superscore brings it up to 31. Would that have an impact or basically admissions will view it as a “weaker” applicant who was only able to achieve a 28/29 ACT score? Just trying to figure out if the overall practice of superscoring the ACT scores did benefit many in last year’s admission cycle. Not sure if the admissions stats from last year, reflect averages that would include these numbers.
Last year UF did not superscore the ACT - this is the first year.
@Melissa96 Thank you for your quick reply. If anything, it will probably be even more competitive.
