UF Chances 2400 SAT

What are my chances for the University of Florida if I have a 4.7 GPA and a 3.8 GPA and a 2400 SAT?

Basically, is it a 100% guarantee?

Someone from my school with a 2360 did not get in because he basically BSed his essay, thinking that UF admission will appreciate his sense of “humor”. So, I would still take the application seriously.

Obviously, I mean I’ve screwed up a lot of things by getting too cocky.

But anyways, will they expect me too have a lot of things listed in the EC portion? Because I think I’m lacking in that, in terms of board positions. I’m an active member in some clubs but I’m currently only vice-president of one that i started and president of a youth group at a mosque.

Your SAT score will put you in honors college. Show a real interest and write a good essay.

With stats like that, definitely make it clear that you really want to go. Otherwise admissions might assume that you regard UF as a safety.

“president of a youth group at a mosque.”

I apologize if I am being presumptuous, but are you an under-represented minority? This should help. Although, with your impressive stats, you don’t need any help.

I’m not a URM, I’m South Asian to be exact but I’m very active in religious community affairs at my mosque regarding youth and whatnot.

I’m just asking because I want to know how much Honors College weighs on EC’s

Honors college is all about ECs. I had a 2070 SAT, the absolute minimum, but was accepted to the honors college because I had some unique ECs and worked very hard on the essays. With a 2400 SAT I’d imagine you’re guaranteed general admission, but the honors college doesn’t really look at SAT and GPA.

What were your unique ECs?

Varsity football captain, editor of school newspaper, founder and president of 2 clubs. Also won many awards from FSPA other things
