UF off-campus apartment opinions/reviews

I am interested in honest accounts about Gainseville's College Manor, College Studios, Gator Park, and Looking Glass apartments. Mold/mildew prevalence, safety, utilities (water reliability), etc. I've browsed review websites, but am seeking more information. All opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Back when I transferred to UF, I checked out College Manor and it was beyond disgusting. The building looks okay from the outside but the inside looks like a rundown motel. The front elevator area smelled of smoke. The actual room was in a terrible condition, then again this might have just been a single event on the room.

I have no experience with College Studios.

I lived in Looking Glass in a 3/3 for a semester. It was very nice, but the walls are paper thin and because it is relatively closer to midtown, I ended up hearing a lot of drunk people walking home, yelling, being idiots. I personally would not live there again.

I am currently living in Gator Parks (which is managed my Looking Glass). I love it here! It’s close to campus, yet far enough away from midtown that you won’t end up having sleepless nights. The building might not look the best from the outside, but the rooms are really nice.

These are my personal opinions. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me or if you end up moving into Gator Parks!

Thank you, Joey.
I had a feeling that College Manor was ultra-disgusting.

Looking Glass is the way to go
