UF Transfer Applicants Fall/Spring 2018

I liked past discussions where people posted their cumulative GPA’s and Pre Prof GPA’s before applying into UF so here 's a new one for Fall 2017 and Spring 2018. I’m going for Spring myself. Here is me -

GPA
Pre Prof: 3.5
Overall: 2.8

Major: Chemical Engineering

My overall is low, but from poor grades from 8-10 years ago. Last 3 years my grades have been mostly A’s with some B’s. I did talk to advisors and they said if I went for a less competitive major (not MAE) and explained myself in the statement of intent I will have a chance. I’m 31 and hoping to get an engineering degree from UF after a botched attempt at Poli Sci 5 years ago. I’m applying to the other state schools, and possibly UM (expensive), but UF is my #1 choice.

I still have 4 classes left for my critical tracking so my Pre Prof could get up to 3.7 if I hit A’s in the last 4 courses.

Good luck everyone

I am trying to transfer into the Food and Resource Economics department, so this is part of the agriculture school. I’ve heard the agriculture school is very easy to get into. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I have a 2.87 overall GPA and should have a 3.0 after this semester.
