UGA, HOPE and 127 Hours

So I've been going to a CC while I'm in highschool and I've racked up a number of credits(I'll have about 45 when I transfer out). None of those credits will have been based on HOPE money, since I'm not eligible for HOPE until I graduate HS.

I'm going to be majoring in accounting and in order to sit for a CPA exam you need 150 credit hours. I have no reason to pursue a master's degree, so undergrad makes more sense to hit 150(MUCH cheaper). The problem I'm having is the very ambiguous language used both on the Georgia411 website and UGA's site. They keep interchangeably using 127 hours completed and 127 HOPE hours completed. In my situation, those are not the same thing.

What I'm wondering is whether HOPE cuts off when you've completed 127 hours regardless of who paid for it, or if HOPE ends when HOPE has been applied to 127 of those completed hours. The fact that they make the distinction between 127 HOPE(at times) leads me to believe that my existing 45 credits will not count towards the 127 limit, since HOPE was not used to obtain them. But I am not sure of this as nothing concretely lays this out.

My D entered UGA with (I think ) 59 credit hrs due to AP credit. She is entering her Junior year with more than 127 hrs- and Hope has paid for the next semester.

It is my understanding that it is 127 hrs at UGA. Call the Bursars office at UGA - they will help clarify. I have found them really helpful in the past.
