Is regular decision easier to get into than early action? Does being out of state help because I don’t need financial aid?
There isn’t a single school I can think of that has higher acceptance rates of RD than EA, so no, it’s not ‘easier’.
I meant to say regarding the pool of applicants, like is the pool of applicants generally “less competitive?”
Im pretty sure that for uga early action is actually slightly more competitive than RD, but there are some schools out there (for example a UMD rep was at my school recently and said their early acceptance rate was significantly higher than their RD acceptance rate) that for some reason have a higher acceptance rate for EA
I’d assume it is easier to get in RD than EA. For EA, you only can sent grades and transcripts, but in RD, you can send essays, and they make you get a teacher recommendation, so they can look at you more holistically, but that’s just my interpretation.
What do you think the chances are for me getting into UGA rd? I was deferred EA.

As long as you have some good essays and a recommendation from a teacher who can vouch for your potential, I have no reason to believe you couldn’t get in this time around. Keep up the work!
