UGA Early or Regular? Please be honest!

I have asked so many people if I should apply early or regular and they all end up saying “well, that’s for you to decide.” Obviously that is no help!
-I took the ACT for the first time last month, got a 28 but I am going to try to bring it up to a 30 the next time I take it.
-I took the SAT for the first time a few months ago, the last time they offered the old version and got a 1710 which is really bad I know… I’m thinking I might not submit my SAT but I don’t know if that’d hurt my chances of getting in. I took the new one and haven’t gotten my scores but I have a feeling I didn’t do too well.
-My GPA is a 3.89.
-I will have taken 8 AP’s by the time I graduate, but 4 of those will be during my senior year.
-I do have many community service, extracurriculars, and leadership roles that will hopefully help me including student council, Key Club, National Honor Society, cheerleading, and more.

Should I just apply Regular to be safe, or should I risk it and apply Early? My biggest fear is that I will get completely declined early.
Thanks!

Well, based on brief research, the acceptance rate for early action is 32% of almost 12,000 applicants.
Overall acceptance rate is 56% of almost 21,000 applicants.
However, you have to remember that if you apply EA, they have all these seats to fill. As apposed to RD when they already have filled thousands of seats in EA.

Your stats are basically at their mid 50%. Their average GPA is 3.9, and average act is 28.
I think you have a pretty good chance, but If you can get your act up, that will greatly increase your chances.

My recommendation:
Take the ACT in June and try and hit that 30 mark. When signing up for senior year courses, take rigorous courses (which you sound like you are since you’re taking 4 APs) and apply EA!!!
I think you’ll get in!!

Best of luck!
