Ugh, my boyfriend listens to heavy metal.

… Really?

For all the people who think you guys should break up: that’s just fxcking stupid and if you don’t like the music he listens to, just don’t listen to it with him. I mean does it really matter if he likes metal or not. MY boyfriend doesn’t like heavy metal so i listen to it when he’s not around or with earbuds on. Suggest that to him.

dat bump.

Also, @piercetheveil Pierce The Veil isn’t heavy metal. Just putting that out there.

The people on this forum…

@BattleForLA That’s just the way it is. (Some things will never change.)

I’m sure they’ve broken up by now. If she was really considering breaking up with him for such a petty reason, I think they’re relationship was pretty shallow.

Uhm, well I think you need to do a bit of a compromise. I mean, if you don’t want to listen to Heavy Metal that’s okay, even though I don’t understand what the problem is since I listen to everything from Justin Bieber to Drake to Nine Inch Nails. How about you try to listen to his type of music by slowly working yourself up the ladder, so to speak. Start with soft rock and maybe punk like Simple Plan or Sleeping With Sirens and then work yourself up to Pierce the Veil and Motionless in White and then to hard-core stuff like Alice in Chains, Metallica and etc.
I mean, Heavy Metal isn’t that bad, have you heard Bittersweet Memories by Bullet for My Valentine? It’s pretty heartwrenching. But in the end it comes down to what you feel comfortable with, I guess.

I think this whole think is so immature and petty. If he likes heavy metal, then so it be. Everyone has their own preferences. You don’t have to listen to his music and vice versa. Like, seriously. Grow up. :joy:

I know PTV isn’t heavy metal. But I ALSO like heavy metal.

sorry @Decimation I kno PTV isn’t heavy metal but I do like metal also

My boyfriend also listens to heavy metal and I also hate it. But so what? I power on through it, even though it’s always on in his car, because I love him. If you aren’t able to withstand it even for him, then you obviously don’t care too much about him. Grow up and stop freaking out over pointless things.
