sigh…

Holy ****, this thread’s pathetic…no wonder why you’re all a bunch of antisocial nerds. You’re honestly going to break up with a boyfriend because of the genre of music he listens to? Music is about expression, and believe it or not, but some people express themselves in different ways than you do. Do you have to like the music? No. But don’t judge his personality solely based on this.

^Hey, don’t the judge the thread from the OP.

“metalcore is not heavy metal.”

I’m pretty sure Converge metally pwns Motorhead’s asses.

I read through all of the posts, and its appears that a majority of the posters agree with the OP’s statement. That’s ridiculous. If you all are willing to end relationships simply due to minute details such as musical taste, then good luck at have a real social life…

The thing is your music tastes change so if he likes heavy metal now I bet you he won’t like it next year. I think he is just trying to show off anyways.

This thread makes me angry. WTH is wrong with people? Or is this a ■■■■■ thread? I hope it is.
I’m a girl, and I’ve grown up with rock music, and yes, my favorite is heavy metal, and metalcore. I can’t stand expressionless music like house, techno, trance, dubstep or whatever the hell they’re coming out with nowadays. Where I’m trying to get with this is, why in the **** are you dating him in the first place, and the other way around, if you can’t stand something that’s a big part of their person?

People that loke eachother can have difrent musics they like.

Not when they “absolutely hate it”.

samosa and alosin should date

not sur if srs or wizard that balencs grades sleep and social life

Who’s samosa?

I have a girlfriend.

Going on one website doesn’t imply that you don’t have a social life. Please do not generalize all CC users.

I am a balanced individual. It’s a good characteristic to develop. Yes, I get all A’s. Yes, I have a decent social life. Yes, I get more than 6 hours of sleep per night.

^It seems to me that you’re the one making generalizations: “no wonder you’re all a bunch of anti-social nerds”

Back to the original topic, I don’t understand why his music taste bothers you that much. And I’m pretty sure the people telling you to break up with your boyfriend were being sarcastic. At least I hope…

“dub-step” by that, I assume you mean Skrillex? lol

@onamatapia Sorry, you’re right I should have done that

Dat feel when outclassed by Samosa.

Sorry we are not all perfect model students, bro.

DUB STEP

WUB WUB WUB

:3

Yep, this is a ■■■■■ thread. Either that, or a whole bunch of you have a very weirdass view on life. I don’t understand why this thread made it past 2 pages.

We don’t like heavy metal, we don’t like rock and roll
All we like to listen to is Barry Manilow

S.T.I.S

okay, i can take two routes to this, the way think I want to, but I’ll go for the way I think i should:
if you don’t like it, then he might think the same as your taste in music, but maybe not as hostile as you are. why not just talk to him? as BOTH can TRY to expand your minds on EACH OTHER’S taste in music. once again, BOTH. TRY.
i can’t say that I listen to every type of music and enjoy all of them, but you shouldn’t just hate on one kind of music; just TRY. I wasn’t a huge fan of heavy metal, actually, JUST LIKE YOU, but i gave it a try.
And now that i look back at some of the music that you listen to and that i used to listen to, a lot of the songs are based on parties, getting laid, hangovers, chasing after women/men, and just…in that area. whereas metal (or music outside that WHOLE genre) talks mostly about genres away from the party section. it’s almost all about heart given, emotional, songs.
your description of screaming/“screamo” being annoying is the same as “dubstep/techno/trance/house and hip hop & rap” singers and “musicians” using autotune TO THE MAX.
and the reason why you get ‘headaches’ from the metal that he listens to is because you’re trying to reject it, open your ears for once. if you can’t understand the lyrics, google them; as your boyfriend the songs and it’s title, if it’s in a different language (which some are) then translate it, if you still don’t understand, then go ask him.
not everybody will think(s) your favorite genre of music is also the ‘best, godly, better than metal, or the only kind of music that everybody should listen to’. don’t be so closed minded. just try to listen to other things…plus, actual mosh pits are really fun to be in…
ask your boyfriend for some good metal, if you want to try. if you can’t accept your boyfriend or his music, then you’re going to have a nice talk with him.

just…try

14 month necro. Nice.

And metal is terrible.
