The colleges that I'm applying to all say that their deadline is 01/01/07 and that the December test dates are the latest ones that they accept. . . . Well, the first and only time I took the SAT IIs and the ACT were on their December test dates, and I think that they are going to run late! How do colleges handle that? Do they wait for the scores, realizing that the students were told that the scores would be there on time, or am I now ineligible to apply?

Bummmmmmmmmmppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!

That depends SillBill. Why are you afraid?

First of all, I wouldn't worry about the SATII. The college board is very good with deadlines they set for themselves.

The ACT is another story. The good thing about the ACT is that all the scores you chose to send when you filled out the sheet at the test center are sent electronically. All of my colleges, and even government run scholarships, got my ACT scores before I did! And remember, I tested with accommodations, and ACT always blows grading those scores off till the last minute. (It's been more than a month for me since I took it in October and I still didn't receive my scores!) Your Dec scores should be online next week, assuming you tested on a national date. I was able to find out my scores by checking my application status for other colleges and looking at them there. You should keep checking there.

Also, if you took the writing section your test may also take a bit longer to actually be sent. In short, colleges won't penalize you for something they told you to do in the first place and is out of your control.
