I submitted my common app essay with the significant experience/achievement/etc box checked instead of "topic of your choice." My essay is kinda an achievement/experience from my life, but not really. Do you think it really matters? I was relieved to see that the check box thing and the essay are on different pages of the app, at least, but.. still. Mrrgh.

Help, anyone? I don't know whether or not I should call in to them about it..

hmmmm. i really dont know what to say. i would call and tell them just to be sure. cant do any harm...

Question: has it already been established that if you chose to use your own quote on the Princeton app, there was no box to check?

Well...I guess it wouldn't really matter because if your quote is at the top they would sort of figure it out.

Hmm sphairistic...I don't think it will matter THAT much. I mean, I suppose you could send a note/email if you wanted to (I don't know that it would hurt if you did), but it's not like you'll get points-off (well, you know what I mean) if your essay doesn't exactly fit the prompt. The Common App prompts are basically saying - WRITE A 500 WORD ESSAY. ABOUT ANYTHING. (<that's what they should be, at least), because you can write any essay and then conform it to a prompt.

I wouldn't be too worried. But I'm with Ernie...I don't really know.
