Ugliest Campus

^^i think emory’s campus is pretty nice
nyu is pretty bad, washington square park is overrated.

^ hey, when was the last time you went to Washington Sq? It just re-opened a few weeks ago after almost 2 years of contruction, and it’s beautiful.
although nyu doesn’t have a campus so it can’t really be ugly :D

University of South Florida is pretty ugly.

I didn’t like USF’s campus either.

I think anyone near DC would agree that UDC has a pretty ugly campus.

^True but it’s focus isn’t even on 4-yr programs, I thought. They capitalize more on 2-yr and grad ones. For a strange community college/actual university hybrid that is in the city to boot, it is fairly decent. But a lot of concrete. Just why. Plant some grass. Haha.

I believe that, esp when it comes to large state universities, it’s very hard to judge if they’re ugly or pretty just from a tour. For example, I swear the tour at UMD takes you through the ugliest part of campus (freshmen dorms, Stadium, etc.) and neglects the beautiful southern half, only really experienced if you are a student there. Although the engineering complex is pretty God damn ugly. Thank God I’m a humanities major and never see that stuff :). Especially if you view a school from the road (like the person who commented on Towson), it’s clear you’ll likely see the “outskirts” which can be some of the worst parts (though the view of UMD from the road on the the route 1 side is quite nice).

My friend went to Drexel and I wasn’t impressed by the campus but then, it was in the city, and just like any other city school without a real campus, what is there to see? However my friend was in this dorm and the rooms were huge and gorgeous. The view of the city was fantastic from the top floor lounge. An amazing spot. There is beauty in everything, depending on what you are looking for.

In contrast I thought Syracuse University was extremely overrated. True that it can by no means be called the ugliest campus ever, but I was expecting it to at least be prettier than MD (you know, small private and whatnot) and I didn’t find that to be the case at all. But, I can accept that if I was a student there and seeing more angles of the campus than the tour provided me, I might feel a lot differently.

Mount St. Mary (NY) was very disappointing.

NYU doesn’t have a campus, so it can’t have an ugly campus. That being said, I wake up to Washington Square Park outside my window every morning, and I like it.

I don’t think that my alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, is all that attractive. One or two buildings are pretty but others are are rather soulless.

I agree with Drexel but I lol at NYU.
