<p>I've emailed many professors (about 5) that I was interested in their research and would like to participate, but so far I've made no progress at all.</p>
<p>I really like to do research and it's not just something for my resume.</p>
<p>Any ideas on professors who are currently very willing to take in students? SO far I've contacted the professors that were listed on the Chem Dept. website.</p>
<p>It's tough over the summer, because not everyone's around. Wait until the semester and you'll probably get a better response.</p>

<p>During the semester if you go to your major's department, they will have a list of (well they should) different research for undergrads posted in the bulletins. You can sign up for those. No need to rush. Choose the ones that fit your career the most.</p>
