<p>So for housing, I ended up in a triple, and it seems like my dreaded scenario came true. The other two are friends who wanted to room together, looks like I got tossed in.</p>
<p>Has anyone been in this situation? I want to make the most of it, but I'm afraid I'm going to get shut out...</p>

<p>Oh, and my advice would be not to worry about it. Maybe they’ll be great and you’ll all be best friends. Maybe you’ll make great friends with the guys across the hall. Who knows? That’s exciting, not dreadful.</p>

<p>I had friends in a triple in Lee, and it was actually a really big room and they liked it.</p>
<p>Re the possibility of getting shut out- most people aren’t close friends with their roommates, although nearly all have decent living situations (on my floor of 64 people, I can only think of 2 rooms that had roommates that hated each other, and in those two rooms, there was at least one person who was unreasonable). Otherwise, your first source of friends is most likely going to be your freshmen floor as a whole.</p>

<p>Also, since wustl didn’t accept anyone off the waitlist, it probably means they’re a bit overenrolled on the freshmen class- there will probably be a bunch of people in triples, and you can either complain to each other, or take it as a source of pride.
(Seriously. People get strongly defensive of their freshmen floor).</p>
<p>I’m actually kind of excited for the triple in some ways. We get our own bathroom for just the three of us…and the dorm is supposed to be pretty/large.</p>
<p>I’m just a very shy person. I never expected to be BFFs with my roomates, but I’m afraid of being shut out…or that I’ll never be able to get any sleep with 3 different schedules in one room!</p>

<p>Most of the dorms here are pretty big, but from the room plans this one looks definitely big enough to fit three. Maybe since they’re friends they’ll bunk their beds and there will be even more space</p>
